About
Hi, I’m David Kumbroch—founder of Peak Public Speaking.
I’ve spent more than 20 years in front of audiences: delivering newscasts, asking tough questions as an investigative reporter, presenting complex science to global audiences, and coaching teams to tell their stories with clarity and confidence. I launched this consultancy to help others do the same—because your message matters, and how you share it can change everything.
Before founding Peak, I spent seven years as a journalist and newsroom leader, earning multiple Edward R. Murrow awards for writing and investigative reporting. I then turned my focus to science communication, leading strategic storytelling efforts at cutting-edge biotech institutions and one of the largest Parkinson’s research nonprofits in the world. Whether I’m writing for researchers, coaching executives, or producing a global podcast, my goal has always been the same: help people connect through clear, compelling communication.
My own journey with presentation began in school, where I won five national championships in competitive public speaking. That foundation grew into a lifelong pursuit of impactful storytelling—and a belief that everyone can learn to own the room, win over an audience, and speak with purpose.
At Peak Public Speaking, I combine newsroom instincts, communications leadership, and decades of speaking experience to help individuals and organizations elevate their voice. Whether you're pitching investors, presenting research, or stepping onto a stage, I’ll help you rise to the moment.
